Prop 8, yes voters

big⋅ot

[big-uht]
–noun a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bigot

Prop 8 results, undetermined!

Results Status:

Roughly 400,000 votes separate yes from no on Prop 8 – out of 10 million votes tallied.

Based on turnout estimates reported yesterday, we expect that there are more than 3 million and possibly as many as 4 million absentee and provisional ballots yet to be counted.

Given that fundamental rights are at stake, we must wait to hear from the Secretary of State tomorrow how many votes are yet to be counted as well as where they are from.

It is clearly a very close election and we monitored the results all evening and this morning.

As of this point, the election is too close to call.

Because Prop 8 involves the sensitive matter of individual rights, we believe it is important to wait until we receive further information about the outcome.

Things you learn on the internet

10. Keep the refrigerator vegetable drawer dry and free of smells. Line the bottom with newspaper.

1. Diffuse the flash on a camera. When you’re taking a close-up, soften the brightness by placing a coffee filter over the flash.

6. Prevent soil from draining out of flowerpots. When repotting, place a filter at the bottom, over the drainage hole, then add the soil.

CPSC and Carter's Advise Parents of Rashes Associated with Heat Transferred, or "Tag-less," Labels

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Carter's, Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia, are advising parents and caregivers that they have received reports that a small percentage of babies and infants have developed rashes on the upper back after wearing Carter's clothing with heat-transferred, or "tag-less," labels.

This advisory applies to Carter's Fall 2007 product line. The Fall 2007 line utilizes a label on the inside back of the garment that has a raised surface with a solid, rather than a stenciled, background. This advisory does not apply to previous and current product lines, which utilize labels with stenciled backgrounds.

The garments, which were made in various countries, were sold at Carter's own retail stores and at department and national chain stores.

If your child develops a rash on the upper back after wearing garments that have a "tag-less" label with a solid background, you should stop using these garments. If the rash persists or worsens, you should contact your pediatrician. For additional information, visit Carter's website at http://www.carters.com/corporate/tagless_message.aspx, contact Carter's toll free at 1-888-282-4674 or by email at contactus@carters.com

Using kids to lie...

Using kids to lie...

So I cant even begin to imagine why people would vote yes on prop 8.

"We are not surprised to see the PPIC poll's latest results. This shows that ads full of lies aren't working. You can't just make up whatever you want and think you can trick the people of California. In fact, it's pretty clear that using children to lie about Prop 8 is backfiring. There's still much work to be done and the polls will keep moving, but we have every confidence that the people of California will vote against eliminating the rights of their friends and neighbors."

Prop 8

Prop 8

Seriously, people who vote yes on prop 8 should have some sense and compassion shaken into them. Its un-constitutional to take away peoples rights! The only argument they are playing on TV is that they don't want gay marriage to be taught in school. I really don't see the problem, the psycho-cult-conservatives private school them or home school them, and so the rest of the kids can have a more worldy view of life. GOOD. I mean if you really think your kid will get from K to 12 and never ask what gay is you've got your head so far in the sand there are far more problems for you to deal with.

I am not gay, but I support equality. What do you suppoort?

When the Nazis came for the communists,

I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,

When they came for the trade unionists,

I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

And Google agrees with me...

http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/our-position-on-californias-no-on-8.html

Our position on California's No on 8 campaign

9/26/2008 03:23:00 PM
As an Internet company, Google is an active participant in policy debates surrounding information access, technology and energy. Because our company has a great diversity of people and opinions -- Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals, all religions and no religion, straight and gay -- we do not generally take a position on issues outside of our field, especially not social issues. So when Proposition 8 appeared on the California ballot, it was an unlikely question for Google to take an official company position on.

However, while there are many objections to this proposition -- further government encroachment on personal lives, ambiguously written text -- it is the chilling and discriminatory effect of the proposition on many of our employees that brings Google to publicly oppose Proposition 8. While we respect the strongly-held beliefs that people have on both sides of this argument, we see this fundamentally as an issue of equality. We hope that California voters will vote no on Proposition 8 -- we should not eliminate anyone's fundamental rights, whatever their sexuality, to marry the person they love.

On stand-by

On stand-by

Apparently there was a surge in volunteers for the elections this November, so I wont get my usual polling place and am on the stand-by list now. I worked the elections in 2005 and a few times before so they know Ill be one of the first pulled from stand-by since Ive done it before. Oh well, either way, Ill make a trip with Mickayla to vote (her first election!) and make sure we support our propositions!

School, Financial Aide

So I apply for the FAFSA and they email me saying the school has the info and I called the school and they said give them a week. So a few months has gone by and I go in and Im all WTF and they apparently have the address from like... 6+ years ago (I applied with the right one) and I had to fill out some new address info and I thought we were finished at that point.

Nope. I have to submit info about income and dependent status. So now I had to bring them the info about how Im filing Mickayla on my taxes for '08. That was pretty simple, since Im the only one who legally can (I would have to sign IRS form 8332 and since I havent, he cant file her ever), they took the court docs as proof and that was one less thing to worry about.

Now I have to submit a student plan, and to do that I have to make an appt with the counseling office and BEFORE I can do that I have to take the math placement exam... I dont remember math.. I did pre-calc years ago and have forgotten all of it.

So now, a practice test, then a placement exam, then a st

My Bench Project

I bought a bench off of Craigs List for $25

Photobucket

And spent $10 on stain/varnish and brushes. I already had the fabric from previous projects.

Heres the result!

Photobucket

So early!

Okay, so Kaylee woke up wicked early, like 645 early. There is no good reason to be awake that early! And shes happily playing her dolls and shopping cart and blissfully unaware mommy is gulping coffee like there is no tomorrow.

I went to look at dressers yesterday, but found an old bench instead. So we stained it and today I will change the fabric and voila! So that will be a fun project for when Kaylee goes down for a nap. Ill post before and after photos soon. I really didn't need a dresser, we have a huge closet and drawers and we mostly hang things in there anyway. I really needed something to take up space in the room, since its so huge. So the bench will work nicely and its much cooler I think.

Okay, Kaylee is on her rocking horse and wearing her Asian patterned robe I got her. The kid is stylin!! We have been putting her hair in pigtails recently, shes getting better at sitting still for it, and Daddy thinks she looks adorable with them, plus it keeps them out of her face while she plays. So its win-win I think.

Plans for the day...

So I guess I have the car today! I figured Matt would be taking it to work, but he carpooled and so its all mine (muahahahah) So now the options of what to do today are wide open!

I think first I will try and get a shower while Kaylee is finding Elmo so interesting, if not she will try and climb in with me. Then we will go to the college and change my major , yay! Ill see if any of the girls I know are there and maybe they will wrangle her for me (Carlie are you there?!?!) while I deal with that.

I MIGHT even do some dishes, if Matt is lucky, before he gets home. I made coffee so the odds are increasing lol. Oh and the laundry.. argh thats no fun.

So yeah, I also need to call the thrift store and have them pick up a huge pile of stuff Matt and I sorted through this weekend. Argh so much stuff! Oh and I have something off freecycle I need to pick up too. lol.

Argh and I have to check this furniture store for a dresser. Its pretty cool, its like an estate sale type place, so hopefully there will be lots of cool vintage things to chose from. Ill need to see if Jon can get it home for us if I find one we will like.

Okay... full day. Somewhere in there Kaylee will need a nap, and maybe hit the park? (I just called the thrift store, they will pick up tomorrow, one less thing for me to worry about)

My checklist

Anyone who has seen my kid play dress up knows she is Punky Brewster at heart... here is my shopping list for Halloween...

Punky Brewster was a loveable, sassy, and spirited young girl with a wardrobe to match. Visions of colorful clothes, bright bandanas and mismatched sneakers come to mind when you hear her name. And don't for get about those pig tails with the sun shaped ponytail holders!

The Punky look is all about layers, mismatched things, and bright colors (sort of like the 80s in general). Find some fun colored clothes and start mixing-and-matching. Try some of these ideas…

- t-shirt over a long sleeved tee with a vest on top (all different
bright colors)
- sweatshirts with bold colors, shapes and squiggle prints
- jeans with on leg rolled up and a bandana tied around the leg
on the other side
- suspenders
- skirt with tights (where each leg is a different color)
- leggings with oversized button shirt with funky prints worn as
a dress; use a big belt to accentuate
- mismatched sneakers or hi-tops with bright colored shoe laces
- Heart shaped button (may be added to vests or suspenders)
- Bandanas rolled up and tied around the leg
- Hair: Brown with bangs and pig tails (with sun-shaped ponytail
holder).

Soo...

I'm pondering. There has been something I have always wanted to do, but never had the chance to before. But I talked to Matt and hes completely supportive and so we will see what can be done....

And no, I'm over the whole jumping out of a plane thing.....

This is much more crazy and far safer, lol!

Have to move the slide...

So her slide was inside in the playroom. And our house is mostly tile, except for the bedrooms and part of the living room, so I took those foam kids squares and covered it with a rug and put that in her playroom (the squares were princess and everyone knows I hate character toys/clothes etc) so there was a cushy area to play. Well I had her slide in there, the landing area over the rug and my mom points out she can fall from higher at the top and that part is over the tile. So I moved it and it almost coveres the whole rug. So I had the back of the steps on the tile but the top part is over the rug. And NOW shes walking up the slide or trying to carry things up the stairs and to have them slide down with her. So if I put the whole slide on the rug, then there is nowhere to PLAY on the rug.

So now where to put the slide? We dont want to have anything in the livingroom, since the playroom is connected to it we thought to keep it toy free. But SOMEONE taught her to take toys down the slide...

Protect marriage my ass

Protect Marriage my ASS

Yeah so a bunch of conservative morons with their heads up their asses are trying to ban gay marriage in CA. Its complete crap and they are saying they are 'protecting marriage'... SERIOUSLY?! Protecting it from WHAT?! I mean are all of the straight marriages in America in jeopardy because of it? Will they become null if gays can marry? Can we worry about some real problems like the WAR and the ECONOMY and leave the gays alone? People are people and they deserve to be treated like everyone else.

Irritated and fed-up

So Mickayla's sperm donor decides to call every month or so, when hes bored and has nothing better to do. He asks how shes doing and the call lasts 2 min tops. Often he calls when I'm busy but I answer anyway because I want it known that its because of HIM that they have no relationship. I have dozens of friends who have seen me answer it and so everyone knows its his lack of interest not me stopping him from contact.

So I have been asking him to get his CRAP out of my garage (it has been there since he left 9 + mo ago) and he always has an excuse. So I sent an email that said according to a civil code (a real one mind you) if its not gone I can toss it. I'm not a storage unit for crying out loud (and I can charge for storage fees but I didn't)! If these things were truly important to him he would have gotten them already. So he calls and yells and cusses at me and hangs up and then calls several more times and I ignore it, I don't have to answer the phone to someone being abusive. I dont need to be blamed for his problems anymore. Hes screwed up his life, he should have to deal with it.

Then he sends me an email saying all he was trying to do was ask about the boxes and talk to Mickayla! And then he accuse me of being in violation of the custody agreement. Well 1- no judge is stupid enough to fall for that crap, he obviously was using Mickayla to get me to answer the phone, it makes me sick he cares so little for her. And 2- we have NO CUSTODY AGREEMENT... we have a court order that says shes MINE and nowhere in there says I have to answer the phone when he cusses at me.

But he doesn't care about her, only when he can get attention or sympathy from someone or hes bored and calls to 'talk to her'. What is Mickayla getting out of this relationship with Joey?.... Nothing. She doesn't know him and thats HIS fault for leaving and never calling or asking to web cam with her. Its pathetic he calls once a month and tries to act like her dad. She is smart and happy and wonderful and it has nothing to do with him, its in spite of him. Every day I wish she was Matt's daughter so I would never have to deal with Joey again, I just hate dealing with this crap. I only deal with this because of his parents because none of this is their fault and they love her so much but its really its just so stressful for me.

I just need to talk to talk to my lawyer about what I can do about all of this and how often I legally have to answer the phone from him. I sent him an email in response to his bullshit about me never answering the phone, so now he has to email me the date and time he plans on calling before he calls. This way I can reply to the email "hey you never called" and have a record of his flakyness and also it will cut out a lot of the 'oh Im bored, Ill call my kid' type calls. I bet he tried a few times, flakes out, and never bothers to. I will not answer the phone from him again unless its at the specific time he emailed about, and then Im handing the phone to Kaylee and if she doesnt want to talk Im not making her. I am done with him, and making things easier on him.

Before 8am

I have tried to explain to Mickayla that time before 8am doesn't exist. And yet somehow a little baby comes into my room, poking me and screaming "MOOOOOOOOM" at 7:15 this morning. I grab her and pull her into bed and try and get her back to sleep... she pretends to be asleep for a min and I get some snuggles, but no its not gonna happen, shes up and wants to play. She asks where DaDa is, and I tell her hes at work, and shes not happy. I think she got used to him being there in the mornings on Sat and Sun. So we get up, I go to make coffee and she goes to find Pandora. And our morning starts.... a little early, but thats okay.

Snicker...

One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his sweat-shirt Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to me, 'What setting do I use on the washing machine?'
'It depends,' I replied. 'What does it say on your shirt?'
He yelled back, ' University of Oklahoma '

And they say blondes are dumb...

A couple is lying in bed. The man says, 'I am going to make you the happiest woman in the world.'
The woman replies, 'I'll miss you...'
---------------------------- ----------------------
'It's just too hot to wear clothes today,' Jack says as he stepped out of the shower, 'honey, what do you think the neighbors would think if I mowed the lawn like this?'
'Probably that I married you for your money,' she replied.
-----------------------------------------------
Q: What do you call an intelligent, good looking, sensitive man?
A: A rumor

Dear Lord,
I pray for Wisdom to understand my man; Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods. Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll beat him to death.
AMEN

Q: Why do little boys whine?
A: They are practicing to be men.

Q: What does it mean when a man is in your bed gasping for breath and calling your name?
A: You did not hold the pillow down long enough.

Q: How do you keep your husband from reading your e-mail?
A: Rename the mail folder 'Instruction Manual.'

Alive and kickin... er at least alive

LOL we moved so I have been without internet for awhile, sorry all!

We found out last-last Sunday the house we wanted was availible and we moved in the next day and spent last-last week moving and unpacking. Then my mom came to stay and lucky for me because I messed up my knee with the moving.

My camera is broken, so when I find the cable that connects my phone with my laptop Ill upload some photos of Mickayla and her new 'big girl' room! We changed her bed to a day bed and she loves it! Shes also wearing pull-ups and learning to use the potty now!

We finally got a new car, a 4 door! We were using a 2 door, and since Kaylee rear faces its hard but we knew it was worth it for her saftey! So now we have a 4 door new Malibu and its got tons of space for MAtt (hes 6'2) and trunk space for hauling stuff to visit Mom.

So now we are settling in and life is good. We have a 4bdrm house and 4door car, lol, its been a busy 2 weeks!

Monday, September 08, 2008

We are MOVING!

So anyone free this weekend will be given pizza and beer in exchange for helping load the stuff from the garage into a U-haul and unload it into the new garage. Easy enough, most stuff is packed in boxes/tubbies already!

We are moving into a HUGE house with tons of space for Kaylee to run and play, we are very excited! The difference in space will be astronomical compared to what we have now.

So all Halloween/Xmas/Birthday parties will be at my house for the rest of the year!!! I haven't had the space to throw any big parties and we all remember how nice they were!!

TRENTON, N.J. -- Merck & Co. is immediately suspending its lobbying campaign to persuade state legislatures to mandate that adolescent girls get the company's new vaccine against cervical cancer as a requirement for school attendance, the company said late Tuesday.

The drugmaker had been criticized by parents and doctors' groups for quietly funding the campaign via a third party to require 11- and 12-year-old girls get the three-dose vaccine in order to attend school.

Some had objected because the vaccine protects against a sexually transmitted disease, human papilloma virus, which causes cervical cancer. Vaccines mandated for school attendance usually are for diseases easily spread through casual contact.

"Our goal is about cervical cancer prevention and we want to reach as many females as possible with Gardasil," Dr. Richard M. Haupt, Merck's medical director for vaccines, told The Associated Press.

"We're concerned that our role in supporting school requirements is a distraction from that goal, and as such have suspended our lobbying efforts," Haupt said, adding the company will continue providing information about the vaccine if requested by government officials.

Merck launched Gardasil, the first vaccine to prevent cervical cancer, in June.

Sales totaled $255 million through the end of 2006, according to Merck.

Last month, The Associated Press reported that Merck was channeling money for its state-mandate campaign through Women in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators across the country.

Conservative groups opposed the campaign, saying it would encourage premarital sex, and parents' rights groups said it interfered with their control over their children.

Even two of the prominent medical groups that supported broad use of the vaccine, the American Academy of Pediatricians and the American Academy of Family Practitioners, questioned Merck's timing, Haupt said Tuesday.

"They, along with some other folks in the public health community, believe there needs to be more time," he said, to ensure government funding for the vaccine for uninsured girls is in place and that families and government officials have enough information about it.

Legislatures in roughly 20 states have introduced measures that would mandate girls have the vaccine to attend school, but none has passed so far. However, Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Feb. 2 issued an executive order requiring that schoolgirls get the vaccinations, triggering protests from lawmakers in that state.

The vaccine also is controversial because it is the most expensive ever -- $360 for the three doses required over a six-month stretch. Because of that cost and what pediatricians and gynecologists say is in adequate reimbursement by insurers, many are choosing not to stock the vaccine or requiring surcharges to administer it, adding to parents' difficulties.

Merck shares were down in after-hours trading on the New York Stock Exchange, falling 35 cents to $44.15, after rising 22 cents in regular trading to close at $44.50.

What DOES a VP do?

Well I think you should figure it out before you run for the VP of the USA...

Seriously people are considering electing a soccer mom who is the gov. of a state with less people than some cities in CA, NY and TX? It has 670,053 people and San Jose has 974,000, so lets elect the mayor of San Jose to be VP? Oh, and lets not forget her 'national security' experience...

Their Agenda Against Women

  • McCain voted against The Equal Pay Bill for
Women. He said women 'need education and
    training' instead.

  • Palin wants to outlaw abortion in every form,
including for victims of rape or incest.

  • McCain voted against the family and medical
leave act, making it harder for women and men
to take time from work to care for loved ones.

  • Palin cut special needs funding in Alaska by
62% yet claims to be a special needs advocate.

  • Palin wants to teach creationism in the schools,
making it harder for our teachers to compete
with up-and-coming nations in science education.

  • McCain opposed spending to prevent
    unintended and teen pregnancies.

  • Palin does not believe that humans contribute to
global warming and she wants to take the polar
bear off of the endangered species list so she
can drill for oil in Alaska.

  • McCain opposed legislation requiring that
    abstinence-only programs be medically accurate
    and scientifically based.

  • McCain's health care plan will require that
benefits be taxed, the first time this would ever
happen in America's history. This will make it
next to impossible to pay high medical bills with
    insurance benefits.

Okay people, THINK about what your doing when you vote. They picked Palin because shes a WOMAN to gain the Hilary supporters, shes the last person we want as president!!

LOL McCain’s wandering eyes

Boo shall be Punky Brewster!

Answer from the internet on how to dress like Punky!
"You could wear your hair up in pigtails, a bright blue or yellow t-shirt with a bright red or purple vest over it, ripped jeans with one cuff rolled up to just below your knee and the other side all the way down, bandana tied around your knee, striped socks, and 2 different funky colored sneakers!"

Educate before you vaccinate!!

A single vaccine given to a 6 pound newborn is the equivalent of giving an 180 lb. adult 30 vaccines in one day." Dr. Boyd Haley

From the CDC website,
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/additives.htm

What You Should Know

  • Millions of doses of vaccines are administered to children in this country each year. Ensuring that those vaccines are potent, sterile, and safe requires the addition of minute amounts of chemical additives.
  • Chemicals are added to vaccines to inactivate a virus or bacteria and stabilize the vaccine, helping to preserve the vaccine and prevent it from losing its potency over time. One such chemical is called an excipient is an inactive substance used as a carrier for the active ingredients found in medication.
  • The amount of chemical additives found in vaccines is very small and may not be enough to cause a serious allergic response.
  • In July 1999, the Federal government asked vaccine manufacturers to work towards eliminating or reducing the use of thimerosal, a preservative which contains small amounts of mercury, in any products currently available on the market. Today, all routinely recommended pediatric vaccines manufactured for the U.S. market contain no thimerosal or only trace amounts.
Educate before you vaccinate!!

"Today, all of the major neurological diseases including autism, Alzheimer's disease, ALS, MS and Parkinson's do not have a known etiology. They represent the major failure of today's research institutions. They are modern man diseases and do not seem to be directly genetically inherited but to be caused by some unidentified, toxicant exposure. All attempts to look at heavy metal exposures, especially mercury exposure, as being involved in the etiology or exacerbation of these diseases is rigorously fought against by certain components of our government regulatory agencies in spite of both biological and epidemiological research implicating mercury as a major suspect for involvement."

Who is Sarah Palin?

Yesterday was John McCain's 72nd birthday. If elected, he'd be the oldest president ever inaugurated. And after months of slamming Barack Obama for "inexperience," here's who John McCain has chosen to be one heartbeat away from the presidency: a right-wing religious conservative with no foreign policy experience, who until recently was mayor of a town of 9,000 people.

Huh?

Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background:

  • She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1
  • Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2
  • She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3
  • Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4
  • She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5
  • She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6
  • How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

This is information the American people need to see. Please take a moment to forward this email to your friends and family.

We also asked Alaska MoveOn members what the rest of us should know about their governor. The response was striking. Here's a sample:

She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience. I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M., Fairbanks, AK

She is VERY, VERY conservative, and far from perfect. She's a hunter and fisherwoman, but votes against the environment again and again. She ran on ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges involving hiring and firing of state officials. She has NO experience beyond Alaska. —Christine B., Denali Park, AK

As an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. Palin is not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. —Karen L., Anchorage, AK

Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position.—Sherry C., Anchorage, AK

She's vehemently anti-choice and doesn't care about protecting our natural resources, even though she has worked as a fisherman. McCain chose her to pick up the Hillary voters, but Palin is no Hillary. —Marina L., Juneau, AK

I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., Anchorage, AK

So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced.

In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.

In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's vice-presidential choice means. Please pass this information along to your friends and family.

Thanks for all you do.

http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/product.php?prod_id=191535

I dont use anything about 3 on her. Oh well

I might as well get paid for it...

So what do I want to do? Im not sure, but it would be spiffy to do what I LIKE to do and be paid for it. I like a lot of things, but I think if I were to get paid for them and it be a job they might loose their fun-ness and it become more like work. So maybe something Im good at and can do easily and just have hobbies. Okay, what am I good at? Well, lol, making plans, organizing things, and telling people what to do based on their skill and the needs of the task. But unless Kim wins the lottery and I can be her life-coach then Im stuck finding a real job.

Okay so Im taking PD 115, which is designed to help us figure out who we are and what we want to do with our lives. I had to take a personality test, this is hysterical, I could have saved myself the test and just skiped to the end, but here I am:

Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging

"I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?"

ENTJs have a natural tendency to marshall and direct. This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. The ENTJ requires little encouragement to make a plan. One ENTJ put it this way... "I make these little plans that really don't have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out." While "compelled" may not describe ENTJs as a group, nevertheless the bent to plan creatively and to make those plans reality is a common theme for NJ types.

ENTJs are often "larger than life" in describing their projects or proposals. This ability may be expressed as salesmanship, story-telling facility or stand-up comedy. In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our hero can make it very difficult for the customer to decline.

ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.

Want to take the quiz? Here it is: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

So... now to find a job for an ENTJ (me)......

Possible Career Paths for the ENTJ:

  • Corporate Executive Officer; Organization Builder
  • Entrepreneur
  • Computer Consultant
  • Lawyer
  • Judge
  • Business Administrators and Managers
  • University Professors and Administrators
BLAAAHHHHHH ... maybe Ill have to make up my own job and convice people they need me. Yeah =)

Daycare and school

So it comes down to this, I never ever wanted to put Boo in daycare, but I'm never going to be able to finish school if we don't. I take class at night so I don't need a babysitter but I have got to have some time to study and the 2hrs I'm awake at night after she goes to bed just aren't enough. So it looks like we will be putting her in daycare so she can play and learn and I can have peace and quiet and study and such.

I met with the daycare provider yesterday at a park and Kaylee really seemed to like her! We will be going Monday, since Matt has the day off work, to see the site and let Kaylee get familiar with it. I'll be dropping her off at 730am and picking her up by 530pm latest. My class is M & W 630-930pm so we decided not to do M W daycare as well so I can still spend time with her every day, so we have decided on T & Th daycare.

There also some community classes Matt and I were thinking of taking. For him a computer refresher course and for me a photography class and together we will take a cooking class and few parenting classes on discipline and potty training. The fee for these is almost nothing ($0-$15 per class) and so that's fabulous!

Okay, that's all for now.

School is in session

So school started. It seems each teacher thinks their class is so important and is the only class your taking, so they load you up on crap to do, leaving no time to do it! I put my assignments into the calendar and printed it off... I guess sleep will have to be sacrificed to maintain the schedule. And thats only 2 classes... granted they are each 4 unit classes but seriously! Then add a 1 unit 'gimmie' course on the internet and then at the end of the semester add a SOC class and I will no longer have spare time.

Must play Sims while I can!!!

Choup is made, baby is sleeping, need to take a shower, maybe there is time for the Sims??....

Semi-sweep: Misty, Kerri to play for gold

Semi-sweep: Misty, Kerri to play for gold

U.S. beach volleyball team advances to final
By the Associated Press
Posted Monday, August 18, 2008 5:37 PM ET

-Treanor and Kerri Walsh advanced to the beach volleyball final on Tuesday, beating Brazil in straight sets to earn the chance to repeat their Athens victory.

Just as she did four years ago, May-Treanor also sprinkled some of her mom's ashes on the sand before the semifinal, saving another half-portion for a similar ceremony at the gold medal game.

"You can't leave home without her," May-Treanor said, tapping the plastic film canister she used to carry Barbara May's remains. "But she'll stay here."

The Americans beat Renata Ribeiro and Talita Antunes 21-12, 21-14 for their 107th consecutive victory and the guarantee of at least a silver medal. The United States has now reached the podium in all four Olympic tournaments since beach volleyball was added to the games in 1996.

"We're not done. We are absolutely not done," Walsh said. "We came here to win."

Walsh and May-Treanor will play top-seeded Tian Jia and Wang Jie of China in the gold-medal match. Tian and Wang defeated their compatriots Xue Chen and Zhang Xi in Tuesday's second semifinal match. Playing in the longest women's beach volleyball match of the Beijing Games, Tian and Wang defeated Xue and Zhang 22-24, 29-27, 15-8.

"We know, definitely, the crowd will be with us," May-Treanor joked about playing in front of Tian and Wang's home crowd in the final.

Xue and Zhang will play Talita and Renata for third place.

"I think their destiny is the bronze," May-Treanor said, predicting a Brazilian victory. "I told them, 'I'm going to see you up on the podium,' and we'll be sitting side-by-side again."

Finished

Im so freakin pissed off right now, I am done trying to be nice and neutral with Mickayla's father (sperm donor) because of what he did today.

So Im in Mississippi right now, I put my plans on hold for 2 weeks so we could fly out here and let Mickayla visit with her family here. I left Matt, and all of my friends and family so this could happen and when I get back I start school up again so I really didnt get much of a break. Thats fine, I know they love her and miss her and so I went out again (we came out in June as well).

So Joey came Mon-Tues last week for a few hours and then had to leave sooner than planned, but whatever, it wasnt a huge deal. We tried to let him see her when we were up in Jackson where he lives but he was working late and it didnt work out. So he came last night at 9pm after work and she got to see him for 2hrs till she went to bed. He was in a fine mood, laughing and playing with her, and not being mean to me and everything was fine.

This morning he was still sleeping when we got up, and even though I tried to get her to play with him he tried to go back to sleep. He played on his computer for awhile, and his mom had to run some errands and was gone for an hour. So he holds her and they are watching a video on his laptop, but he still hasnt gotten up off the couch. The whole time Im in and out of the bedroom, livingroom, kitchen etc feeding her, playing with her and putting away toys. His mom gets home and then takes Mickayla down the block to drop something off at Aunt Linda's and comes back, they then go outside and play for a bit and then come back again. Joey still hasnt gotten off of the couch. I had shown him a letter from child support services that had come in the mail, he needed to fill out some things and he put it to the side till later. I tried to make jokes, offer him coffee, and generaly be nice, but he was grouchy and cranky all morning but talking to me at least.

Connie and I start talking about what we are doing for the day. Before I take a shower he is reading the financial papers from child support services and hes ticked off and grouchy, when I get out hes still ticked off. He starts packing up his stuff and toting it to the car and slamming around. He walks back into the livingroom and asks "why do I have to fill out those papers?" and told him we had already discussed it and didnt want to argue. We ask if he wants to come with us and he says yes and we get ready to go. He said he would follow us to where we are going, but take his own truck. We get to where we are, and hes not there.

He called his mom and said he got a phonecall from 'work' and he has to talk to a lawyer and 'wear a tie'. I think this is complete crap, as a lawer would have an appointment time and he would have been notified of it before hand, or he would have said thats what he had to do instead of saying he was going with us. Also, the only time he was alone for a phonecall was when I was in the shower and by then he was already pissed off and grouchy and its far too cooncidental for that.

He was mad because instead of paying me child support, WHEN he wants and HOW MUCH he wants and having that control over things, he will have to pay THEM when and how much they say. Hes pissed. I dont care, its not my problem!

But instead of being a grown-up and dealing with his problem, and asking questions calmy, or saying "hey you go run your errands Im going to wait here" and then calm down by the time we get back, he storms off and LEAVES HIS DAUGHTER AGAIN.....seems like a trend... he didnt even say goodbye to her....

So Im done. I am not calling him, texting him, asking his opinion about anything. Im not going out of my way for him or giving any more effort to him. I wont stop him from contacting her, but Im not going out of my way for him anymore. He doesnt want her, he doesnt get off the chair/couch when hes here to play with her, he wont make any effort to see her so why should I?

He asked if Matt wanted to adopt her, and he does, and then asked "so I would not have to pay child support then?".. thats the ONLY thing he cares about! He hasnt once asked how Im raising her, or if Matt is a good guy, or if we treat her well. He doesnt ask how we are for weeks at a time, and even when he does call its excuses and excuses.

She has a much better daddy now, who loves and adores her. So tough for him!

Contraception is abortion?

Hi,

I had to share something with you. Can you imagine living in a place where birth control is considered an "abortion" and health insurers won't cover it? Where even rape victims are denied emergency contraception?

It seems unbelievable, but the Bush Administration is quietly trying to redefine "abortion" to include birth control. The Houston Chronicle says this could wipe out dozens of state laws that protect women's reproductive freedom and protect rape victims. And this proposed "rule change" doesn't need congressional approval.

I just signed a message to Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt, whose department is considering this rule change, telling him: "Contraception is NOT abortion." Can you add your voice to this cause? Click here to sign the message: http://pol.moveon.org/contraception/?r_by=13468-9499098-v.J6ntx&rc=paste

Thanks!

Toys R Us kid...

25 SIGNS THAT YOU'VE GROWN UP:

1. Your house plants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.

2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.

3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.

4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.

5. You hear your favorite song on an elevator.

6. You watch the Weather Channel.

7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of hook up and break up.

8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.

9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."

10. You're the one calling the police because those darn kids next door won't turn down the stereo.

11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you.

12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.

13. Your car insurance goes down and your payments go up.

14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonalds leftovers.

15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.

16. You no longer take naps from noon to 6 PM.

17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.

18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle your stomach.

19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests.

20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff."

21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.

24. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar.

25. You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one to save your sorry old backside.

Cell Phone update

Okay, I won an auction for a new cellphone on eBay and Ill be paying for it tomorrow and should recieve it in a week-ish. Problem is Im going to MS for a week and a half so Matt didnt want me to be without one so I got a TracPhone so I had it for the trip. I got the cheapest phone and put the min number of minutes on so I will have it for emergency but not for a lot of chit-chat.

If you need me email me, myspace me or call Matt!

Its NOT ours!

Seriously, Im going to smack someone. When I moved in, there was crap here that wasnt ours. Matt never complained to the landlord about it because it wasnt in his way. Well I collected (around the house, yard and garage) it and set it in the back-backyard (behind the garage) and we told the landlord's daughter-in-law (she works for him) it was the previous tenant's stuff and thought that was it.

Nope, for MONTHS now every few weeks the neighbor mentions to us that the stuff is there. Hes offered a dump pass, hes even mentioned the landlord is out of town and we should get it done before he gets back! Matt called the landlord and confirmed, its NOT our stuff, we are NOT disposing of it! The landlord hasnt brought it up again and we considered it droped. Nope, the neighbor sent his friend over today to OFFER me his TRUCK!

"Im a friend of Andy's, he mentioned you may need to borrow a truck to take some of your things to the dump."
"Im sorry, you must be mistaken, we dont have anything to dispose of"
"Oh, well he mentioned the stuff in the backyard...."
"Those things aren't ours, we have told him this. We have called the landlord and told him and he knows its not our stuff. But its so nice of you to offer your truck to Andy."
I then see him talking to Andy and then they left...

ARGH seriously? Its not our stuff!!!

Things you learn...

So when you have an active toddler, remember that they LOVE the potty and all things in the bathroom (which are usually off-limits and therefor so appealing).

My cellphone is sitting in a bag of rice. Not the cheapie instant rice, no, the nice long grain organic rice... it was either that or the sushi rice and after this ordeal I may need sushi so of course that rice couldnt be used.

Please take these two pieces of information and determine for yourself what happened. Ill give you a minute...... Yes.. the phone went for a swim.

So as soon as it fell in I grabed it out, maybe 5 seconds in the toilet tops. I ripped off the back case, pulled out the battery and sim card and tried drying it in my shirt. I put it infront of the fan and let it dry for a bit and then into the bag of rice. I hope this works, its all I can think of.

So Matt... sweetie... =) if I dont answer its because the phone is in rice and I may need a new one..... love you... =)

My soul for a ticket!
